Music Reviews Are Coming Back! Check Out the New Rating System!

So, it’s been a while since I’ve posted regular music reviews. Well, I’m here to tell you that they’re back! And in a way to freshen them up a bit, I’m instituting a new rating system. The stars are gone; instead, there will be equivalent phrases. Here they are:

Curiosity Will Kill the Cat (For Singles: Switch the Station When It Comes on the Radio) = 1 Star

Borrow It from a Friend (For Singles: Catch It on the Radio Sometime, Maybe) = 2 Stars

Stream It or Digitally Download It (Legally of Course) [Same goes for singles, max rating for singles & EPs is 4 stars] = 3 Stars

Buy It on CD or Vinyl!!!  = 4 Stars

There can never be more than a five star equivalent rating, but taking the place of the 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 and even an additional star will be two phrases.

Background music = no additional score

Passive listen; take it all in, revisit later = 1/4-1/2

Active listen; sing-a-long, tell everyone about it, it certainly left it’s mark! = 3/4-1 star

I’ve wanted to do this for a while, and now that I’m “back” it’s the perfect time. Look for new music reviews at teamhellions.com really soon!
