My Top 50 Albums of the Decade!: Part 10 of 50

The Saga…has a ways to go…thanks for staying with us

41. The Matches – Decomposer (2006)

To continue with my “bands that don’t exist anymore” albums, Decomposer took this band to the next level. When you heard their first album, E. Von Dahl Killed the Locals, you knew there was potential and then they released Decomposer. The magic in this album came through the way it was produced, which was with multiple producers on a track by track basis, which included Mark Hoppus of blink-182 fame, Tim Armstrong of Rancid, and Brett W. Gurewitz of Bad Religion. If you love bands like Say Anything, Saves the Day, and Silverstein…check this band out.

Recommended Tracks: “Drive,” “Papercut Skin,” “What Kate Said,” “Didi (My Doe, Pt. 2),” “The Barber’s Unhappiness”
