This week’s sound effect comes from Godzilla #3, out now from IDW!

Every week we look through a list of the upcoming comic books on the Zeus Comics website.

The covers pop off the screen and should be popping off the shelves and into your waiting hands.  All of the comics are great, but some covers just stand out stronger than others.  This is where we spotlight those comics.

Lets get this comic party started!

Archie #636 Gisele Lagace cover.

Wow.  I mean wow.  Still very sexy.  I’m getting confused.  I need to do some self examination here.

Bart Simpson Comics #74

I don’t know why, but this cover just makes me smile and laugh far too much to not show it.

Batman The Dark Knight #12

That’s one creepy looking Scarecrow.  Also who knew that Batman was a test tube baby?!  Bruce you were adopted!  Your real parents are still alive!  Alright, I’ll stop now.

Captain America and Namor #635.1

Is this a tribute to Action Comics #1?  Also, aren’t Cap and Namor on opposite sides of AVX?  So many questions.  What we don’t have to question though is the strength of this cover.

Danger Girl GI Joe #2

This is the reason J Scott Campbell was born.  This cover.  Right here.

Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe #4

There are a lot of 90s extreme kids still around that will be flipping the fuck out over this cover.  Hell, I’m no where near the biggest Deadpool or Punisher fan and I cant wait to get this.

Grimm’s Fairy Tales Myths and Legends #19 (Cover B)

Yeah, everyone likes to pick on Zenescope but this is a great dramatic angle for a cover.  Also, butt over boobs this month!

Green Lantern New Guardians #12

This is an amazing use of color.  Sure there are lots of Lantern colors now, but that doesn’t mean that all the ideas have been done.

Mars Attacks #3

Bap bap bapbapbap!

Rachel Rising #10

Oh the covers keep getting better!  Look at that smirk.  I have yet to read an issue but if the images inside are anywhere near as good I need to.  Hot damn that’s dangerous and sexy and disturbing all at once.

Scalped #60

Jason Aaron R. M. Guera and Jock drop the mic on their way out.  Lets all stand up and slow clap as they bring the curtain down.
